According to the data provided by the organizers of the MediaSchool: Far Eastern Reporter project, about 70% of the most widely read news in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District are devoted to negative events. This is one of the key problems of the information space of the Far East, over which the organizers intend to actively work in the framework of the educational project for young journalists in the region.
"The analysis of the information massif, which is now reproduced in the daily routine in the subjects of the Far East, has revealed alarming symptoms that hamper the fruitful development of the region. Top of the most cash news is occupied by negative messages that are massively replicated in the media and the blogosphere. This phenomenon has become a systemic issue due to the natural preferences of the readership not only in the Far East, but also in other regions of Russia. We're talking about unpleasant forms of manifestation of the information demand, formed the so-called "consumer society", - he curled in a speech at the international media forum Russian island of Sakhalin project manager "Media Design: Far reporter" Alex grandmother.
The current situation hinders the dissemination of high-quality information content on the social and economic development of the Far East, which at the highest state level was recognized as Russia's national priority for the entire 21st century. According to the organizers of the project, this problem should be solved systematically in the long term. To do this, it is necessary to increase the density of interaction between the institutions of development of the Far East with the media and the blogosphere, and also to improve the quality of information that key actors in the news flow in the region are offering to a broad readership. In particular, we are talking about overcoming the crisis of trust in traditional sources of information.
