Russian FM Slams West's Double-Standard Policies towards Middle-East.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The approaches of outside actors towards the developments in the Middle-East and North Africa are determined by double-standard and sympathies for certain leaders in the region, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"If we speak of the Middle-East and North Africa, then what we can say that double-standard policies are apparent," the Russian minister told MGIMO students on Monday, the Voice of Russia reported. "There is an apparent personal aspect when personal dislike for a specific authoritarian leader prompts the strong need to topple him by any means, while authoritarian leaders who don't arouse personal dislike and who are supporters and allies of our Western partners are not discussed at all," he said.
