Russian, Syrian Fighter Jets Crush ISIL's Movements in Eastern Hama.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian and Russian air forces hit hard the military positions and movements of ISIL in the Eastern countryside of Hama, inflicting major losses on the terrorist group.

The Russian and Syrian fighter jets hit hard the ISIL terrorist group in Qalib al-Tour, Abu Hanaya, Salba, al-Dakileh, Jeni al-Albavi, Jub al-Mazari, al-Hassou, Abu Habilat, Abu al-Fashafish, al-Ravizeh, Abu Hakfeh, al-Qastal and Hamadeh Omar.

The joint airstrikes killed and wounded tens of ISIL terrorists and destroyed their military vehicles and equipment.

In a relevant development on Saturday, military sources reported that the Syrian Army had dispatched a large number of Special Forces to Eastern Hama to join their comrades' war on ISIL terrorists.

The sources said that the army men stormed ISIL's defense lines and pushed them back from several heights overlooking the Eastern side of the village of al-Mab'oujeh near the village of Salba.

The sources went on to say that ISIL suffered heavy casualties in the attack, adding that the army has also gained military control over Salba.

The sources further said that the army has forwarded a large number of special forces and a large volume of equipment to Eastern Hama to accelerate the army men's advances against ISIL in the region.

Military sources said on Friday that the army forces, led by the Republican Guard, stormed ISIL's strongholds in Northeastern Hama, liberating a number of key locations from the terrorist group.

The sources said that the army men took back Khirbet al-Katneh, Jabal (mount) Dawylab and the Tal Mazroor hilltop from ISIL after a brief engagement with the militants South of the town of Ithriya.

This recent advance by the army comes several days after it liberated the village of Marina (for a second time) and a number of points South of it from ISIL.

The offensive operation being witnessed in this region of Syria is all part of an ongoing effort by pro-government forces to create a large buffer zone South of the Ithriya to al-Rasafeh highway and to further isolate ISIL militants in Hama province from their comrades in the Easternmost regions of Syria.
