Rugby star tries out role as MD.
WEST Midlands insurance broker Cox Lee has appointed former England and Leicester Tigers' centre Stuart Potter as managing director.'Potts' has spent 14 years in the Premiership division of Rugby Union, having gone pro in 1996.
During his career he was an England A stalwart with 20 caps and part of the 1994 league and 1997 Pilkington Cup winning sides for the Tigers.
Following his retirement from rugby in 2001 he became a director of Brian Potter & Associates after a previous spell with the family insurance brokerage.
He joined Cox Lee, part of national firm Cullum Caital Ventures (CCV), and became sales director with the acquisition of the family firm in 2009.
Mr Potter said: "I couldn't possibly comment on similarities or otherwise between rugby and insurance, suffice to say, both are very much about teamwork."
