Rugby league: Points feast can continue on big stage.

Byline: MARK LANGDON

SUPER LEAGUE has gone points crazy this campaign and don't expect the fun to stop at the business end of the season when St Helens face Bradford at Knowsley Road this evening.

Spreadex are lowest about total points and their 45-48 shout is far too low. The Bulls have played 31 fixtures this term and if you had bought at 48 in every game you would have lost on just two occasions - and one of those was on the first night of the season.

Brian Noble's outfit have been in fantastic scoring form in recent weeks and have averaged 52.75 points in their last eight games.

It is no coincidence that the points feast has arrived since the return of left wing/centre combination Lesley Vainikolo and Shontayne Hape from injury.

St Helens's matches have passed the buy mark in five of their previous six games and the one exception was last week's 19-16 loss to Leeds. Both teams did fantastically well to reach 35 points in a match which was played in a monsoon and ended with puddles on the pitch.

Maybe nerves will get to the teams this evening - a Grand Final place awaits the winners - but even so IG and Sporting look much nearer the correct price at 48-51.

Recommendation Buy points 3pts at 48 (Spreadex)
