Rugby Union: It's the A team.

COVENTRY are cutting a dash after securing a training kit sponsorship deal with sports equipment specialists, A-Unit Ltd.

The National Division One club is in good company as A-Unit, in their second year of business, list Guinness Premiership leaders Leicester Tigers and football giants Chelsea among their prestigious clients. A-Unit is owned by Jim Whitehead, the father of Coventry hooker Chris Whitehead, who also takes an active role within the business.

Meanwhile, Coventry flanker Ben Pons remains on a cardiac ward at Solihull Hospital after being taken ill on the journey back from Saturday's match at Esher.
