Rugby League: Langer Lifts The Wolves; London Broncos 16 Warrington 32.

WARRINGTON bounced back from the shock of Peter Deakin's resignation as chief executive with this emphatic victory.

Deakin's departure was revealed hours before kick-off and he is expected to become chief executive of Sale Rugby Union club. In a further twist Warrington and Sale may merge.

On the pitch the Wolves were always too strong for London, running in six tries to three.

Five of those came in the first half as they built a 28-0 half-time lead, with Aussie half-back Allan Langer calling the shots and Jamie Stenhouse going over twice.

The Broncos rallied but could not avoid their 20th league defeat of the season.
