Ruck cleans up with Ministry of Defence; Inbrief.

A TEES Valley engineering company has secured a seven-year deal with the Ministry of Defence.

Darlington-based Ruck Engineering will provide industrial pressure washers to the Army and Navy in a worldwide contract. It previously supplied the MoD with cleaning solutions. The company has already delivered more than 500 products mainly MAC Avant hot high pressure washers - to bases in Iraq, Afghanistan, Cyprus, the Falklands and to the SAS Barracks in Hereford. MD Simon Ruck said the contract was a fantastic achievement for the company. "That such a high profile and important worldwide contract is being serviced from the North-east is testament to the region's engineering capability and commitment to delivering the highest quality products and services." He said he hoped it would serve as a platform from which the firm could secure further large national accounts as well as new regional trade. Ruck Engineering employs 15 staff.
