Rubber Division spring meeting is a success.
The Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society held its 191st Technical Meeting last month in Beachwood, OH. More than 200 people attended.
The keynote address, "Leading through innovation--foundation for success in automotive synthetic rubber," was given by Kurt Aerts, vice president, specialty elastomers and butyl, ExxonMobil Chemical.
Winners of this year's Science & Technology Awards received their awards at a banquet given in their honor.
Highlights of the meeting appear below and on the next page. The Rubber Division's International Elastomer Conference, including the 192nd Technical Meeting, International Rubber & Advanced Materials in Healthcare Expo, Student Colloquium and Poster Session, will take place October 9-12 at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, OH.
