ELIAS KACHUNGA helped ensure that QPR's woes continued as they struggle to adapt to life without free-scoring Nahki Wells.

The Huddersfield winger scored one, and won a penalty, to ease Danny Cowley's outfit further away from the relegation zone - and drag Rangers a little closer to it.

And the omens certainly do not look good for the Rs, who have scored just once, and lost all three games, since on-loan striker Wells was recalled by Burnley and sold to Bristol City in last month's window.

Boss Mark Warburton said: "I sound like a broken record at the moment but you've got to take your chances.

"We created chances, played some dominant football and looked a good team but you are only a good team if you score.

"It's too simple to say it's just because of Nahki. There are 10 other players on the pitch."

VITAL STATS " Kachunga added to Warburton's concerns after 57 minutes when he headed in from pointblank range after a killer cross from leftback UDDERSFIELD QPR7 ..Shots on Target 2 5 ..Shots off Target 4 4 .Corners ..3 15.. Fouls 15 1 . Offsides1 Harry Toffolo.

Cowley said: "We want to get to 50 points. That's been the objective and we're on 35 now.

"Maybe we've dragged a couple of other teams in but it can change quickly. All we know is, in the history of football, no team has ever been relegated with 51 points."
