Rs 831.9 mln released for eight colleges.

MULTAN: The Punjab government has released funds

of Rs 831.9 million for the construction of two new colleges and

for uplift work at six other colleges of Multan and Khanewal districts.

Talking to APP here on Monday, Director Colleges Haider Gardezi informed that funds of Rs 150 million had been released for the construction of Government College for Boys at Sardarpur Khanewal and Rs 119 million for Government College for Women at Nawabpur Multan.

He said that missing facilities of six different colleges

would soon be made available, as the government had released

funds of Rs 25 million for the construction of a new block of

ten rooms at Government College for Girls Shah Rukan-e-Alam and

Rs 110 million each had been released for Government Zainab College

for Girls Chowk Shaheedan, Government Fatima Degree College for girls

Masoom Shah road and Government Degree College for girls Chungi

No 6 Bosan road.

The director colleges maintained that funds of Rs 85 million

had been released for the construction of new block at Government Post

Graduate College Khanewal and Rs 125 million had been released

for the construction of new block at Government College of Science Multan.

The construction work would be started from May 2019, Haider

Gardezi added.
