Rs 129,184 mln allocated for WAPDA projects.
ISLAMABAD -- The government has specified Rs 129,184.083 million for various ongoing and new schemes of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for next fiscal year 2017-18.
According to budgetary documents, a sum of Rs 127,917.083 has been allocated for various ongoing schemes with foreign assistance of Rs 19,583 million.
Under the ongoing schemes, Rs 21,000 million has been earmarked for construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam, Rs 53,775 million for Daus Hydro Power Project Phase-1, Rs 6,255 million for Golan Gol Hydro Power Project, Rs 2,329 million for Keyal Khawar Hydropower Project and Rs 651 million for Dubair Khwar Hydropower Project.
Similarly, an amount of Rs 19,573 million has been allocated for Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project, Rs 16,396 million for Tarbela 4th Extension, Rs 2,305 million for Tarbela 5th Extension, Rs 3,478 million for Mangla Power Station Refurbishment and Rs 945 million for Warsak Hydroelectric Power Station.
Under the new schemes, a sum of Rs 1,200 million has been specified for construction of Mohmmand Dam and Rs 67 million for Chitral Hydel Power Station.
