M2 EQUITYBITES-December 12, 2016-Royal Dutch Shell appoints Linda Szymanski as new company secretary


Energy company Royal Dutch Shell plc (NYSE:RDS-A) (NYSE:RDS-B) revealed on Friday the election of Linda Szymanski as its company secretary.

Effective 1 January 2017, Szymanski succeeds the company's outgoing general counsel corporate and company secretary, Michiel Brandjes, who retires at the end of 2016.

Since 1 August 2016, Szymanski has served as general counsel corporate at the company and will continue in this role upon her appointment as company secretary.

Previously, Szymanski was employed in the company as general counsel of the Upstream Americas business based in the USA, group chief ethics & compliance officer based in the Netherlands, chemicals legal managing counsel as well as other senior roles in the labour/employment, litigation,and commercial practice areas.
