Royal Bank of Scotland to rebrand ABN Amro branches.
Global Banking News - 09 September 2008(c)2005 - Electronic News Publishing - http://www.enpublishing.co.uk
The Royal Bank of Scotland (LSE: RBS) has announced that it would rebrand all of ABN Amro's branches across the UAE.
The bank however said that it would not make any changes to the services that the Netherlands-based bank had been providing until now. The rebranding exercise would give Royal Bank of Scotland its first presence in the UAE. ABN Amro was acquired by a consortium of banks and Royal Bank of Scotland was a member of the consortium.
Colin Macdonald, the managing director of the bank in the UAE, said the bank would target the 140,000 British expatriates in the region.
