Route 9 crash injures motorcyclist.

WEST BROOKFIELD - A local man was injured after his motorcycle and a car collided outside the Wok Inn on Route 9 about 6:15 p.m. yesterday.

Robert Collins-Lapointe, 18, of Cottage Street was taken by the West Brookfield ambulance to Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware for treatment of minor injuries he suffered when his 2008 Kawasaki EX500 was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker driven by Margaret Sorel, 53, of Lois Street, Ware, Officer Charles H. Laperle said.

Ms. Sorel was headed west and making a left turn into the parking lot of the Wok Inn, when she crossed into the path of the eastbound motorcycle, Officer Laperle said.

The accident closed the road and traffic was rerouted.
