Room with a view of Liverpool in Shanghai campus.

A ROOM celebrating Liverpool has opened at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China.

The Liverpool room will give visitors, students and staff the opportunity to learn more about the city and recognises its strong links with Liverpool University's Shanghai campus. Items on display include memorabilia from Everton and Liverpool and a copy of Ben Johnson's Liverpool Cityscape.

Prof David Sadler said: "It will be a valuable resource for students, staff and visitors to learn more about Liverpool, its culture and its heritage."

The room was opened by Cllr Nick Small and Liverpool Vision deputy chief executive Mike Taylor .
