Rohm and Haas.

Rohm and Haas announced plans to begin construction of a major capacity expansion at its plastics additives manufacturing plant in Louisville, KY. The expansion will increase capacity by 40 million pounds, with a projected completion by late 1995. Rohm and Haas plastics additives include tougheners, modifiers and processing aids for use in polyvinyl chloride, nylon-6 and various engineering resins used to make vinyl siding, window profiles and other end products. The expansion is designed to provide increased capacity for acrylic impact modifiers and processing aids, and will use proprietary technology to produce modifiers with improved powder properties.
