Rohm and Haas.

Rohm and Haas has dedicated facilities in Japan representing an investment of nearly $100 million. A plant for making ion exchange resins was dedicated in Soma, Fukushima Prefecture on August 5. The $75 million Soma plant incorporates the latest technology for making these products and is said to meet the highest safety, health and environmental standards. The Japan Research Center in Washimiya, Saitama Prefecture, a $20 million site to tailor the company's broad range of products to meet the specific needs of customers in Japan, was also dedicated. The center also encompasses sales, technical and advanced research support for ion exchange resins, emulsion polymers, etc.
