Rohm and Haas S.A. posts results.

Sales of the Brazilian subsidiary of Rohm and Haas, Philadelphia, PA, from January to April of this year reached $20 million, an increase of 15% over 1992 sales in the same period. In April alone, sales of $9 million were recorded, up 20% from the month before. While the Brazilian subsidiary only contributes $61 million annually to the parent company's $3 billion in sales, the facility, located in Jacarei, Brazil, will be the focus of increasing investments as Rohm and Haas increases its international business. Currently, the subsidiary exports to Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
