Rockefeller & Co. Names Elizabeth P. Munson President of Rockefeller Trust Company.

James S. McDonald, CEO of Rockefeller & Co., today announced that Elizabeth P. Munson has been named president of the company's two trust company subsidiaries, Rockefeller Trust Co., New York, and Rockefeller Trust Co., Delaware.

Ms. Munson has been a partner of White & Case LLP in the Private Clients Group since 1993. She joined White & Case as an associate in 1983, after serving as a summer intern.

At the White & Case law firm, she focused on providing tax and estate planning for high net worth families, family offices, foundations, endowments and not-for-profits. She also advised the private clients groups at several leading banking institutions.

In announcing Ms. Munson's appointment, Mr. McDonald said:

Ms. Munson was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984. She received a B.A. degree from Yale University in 1978, a J.D. degree from the Harvard Law School in 1983, and an LL.M. degree in taxation from New York University Law School in 1993.

She is extensively involved in non-profit organizations, including as trustee of St. Paul's School, Concord, NH; member of the Board of Advisors, Wildlife Conservation Society; vice president, United Neighbors of East Midtown; member of the Board of Managers, Episcopal Social Services; and member of the Yale Development Board.

Rockefeller & Co. was founded in 1979 by Laurance S. Rockefeller, David Rockefeller and the widows of John D. Rockefeller 3rd and Nelson A. Rockefeller. It was a successor company to the firm established in 1892 by John D. Rockefeller, to provide financial counseling and services to the Rockefeller family and their philanthropic enterprises.

Today, the firm manages approximately $4 billion in assets for individual Rockefeller family members, foundations, endowments and other prominent international families.
