Robson's verdict.

It was a diplomatic result. A draw was perhaps right when you look at the game overall and I would have been a bit sick if we had lost it. We made a great start. Laurent (Robert) had a shot cleared off the line and, had that one gone in, it may have given us the impetus to go on and win. Shay (Given) made a couple of good saves. That is what he is paid to do and we know he is capable of doing it very well. Jonathan Fortune kept Alan Shearer quiet. What is good for us is that we haven't let Charlton get above us, we have kept them at bay.
