Robins pays tribute to Kilbane.

MARK Robins has paid tribute to Kevin Kilbane following his decision to hang up his boots.

The Irish international and out-going Coventry City captain announced his retirement at the weekend, citing family reasons.

Robins said: "He's been a magnificent professional throughout his career and he's had a fantastic career.

Everyone has to retire some time and he's chosen now to do it.

"He's gone off to pursue other avenues and decide what he wants to do in the next period of his career, and we just wish him all the best because he's been a fantastic professional and role model for a lot of people. He's a good lad."
