Robins on high.

COVENTRY 3 NOTTS COUNTY 0 MARK ROBINS is already eyeing promotion at Coventry after an opening-day win over Notts County.

The Sky Blues, relegated from League One last term, wrapped up the victory thanks to Jodi Jones' hat-trick.

Robins said: "We obviously want to get promoted at the first attempt and this is a good start.

"It was a disappointing season last year and it was important that we put that behind us and started to win."

Terry Hawkridge hit a post and Shaun Brisley headed wide, as Notts started well, before Jones took over to seal the points.

County manager Kevin Nolan said: "Coventry were more composed. We should look at them as the benchmark, they did all the basics right."
