Alaska Air Group named Raymond Vecci to replace Bruce Kennedy as chairman of the parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. President and chief executive officer of Alaska Airlines since September, Vecci assumes the added positions of chairman of Alaska Airlines and president and chief executive officer of Alaska Air Group. Kennedy, who plans to pursue Christian service work, is expected to remain on the board. John Kelly, president and chief executive officer of Horizon Air Industries, was named chairman of Horizon Air, succeeding Kennedy in that position. The directors of Alaska Air Group also elected R. Marc Langland, president of Anchorage-based Northrim Bank, to the board seat vacated by Frank Turpin, who resigned to become commissioner of the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.
