Robert T. Murray.

Robert T. Murray (photo), a former member of the U.S. Secret Service stationed at the White House, announced the formation of his new firm, National Asset Conversion Associates, Inc., with offices in Jericho, Long Island and New York City.

A native of Queens and graduate of St. John's University, Murray joined the Secret Service after serving in the Army and was assigned to presidential protection for Richard Nixon. In 1973, he became a detective for the New York City Police Department. Upon retiring in 1979, Murray established the Murrmack Leasing and Management Corp. which owns and operates medallion taxicabs in New York City.

A licensed insurance broker and real estate agent, Murray became interested in the marketing advantages of auctions to attract the attention of prospective buyers and became a licensed auctioneer in 1986. National Asset Conversion Associates in an outgrowth of that interest and specializes in both residential and commercial property auctions as a cost-effective way to sell real estate.
