Robber preyed on the elderly.

A 37-YEAR-OLD man yesterday admitted carrying out a spate of robberies on pensioners in Liver pool.

James Quinn pleaded guilty to seven robberies and one assault with intent to rob between June 12 and 23 this year.

Liverpool Crown Court heard that the victims, all but one female, were aged between 78 and 90.

Anya Horwood, prosecuting, said that Quinn went to the victims' homes, which were in various parts of Liverpool, and used ruses, such as needing a glass of water or looking for someone,

He then pushed his way in and each elderly victim was pushed or shoved during the incidents before he fled with cash.

Quinn, of no fixed address, was further remanded in custody to await sentence on Friday.

He had an epileptic fit in the cells before being brought to the dock and his barrister, Simon Driver, said Quinn needed time to recover.
