Robbed by bikers; CRIME: NORTH TODAY.

MOTORBIKE-mounted robbers stole a man's briefcase.

The 62-year-old victim was outside Witherwack News Agency on Woolwich Close, Witherwack, Sunderland, when the thieves struck at around 7am yesterday.

A motorbike approached him from behind and he was knocked to the ground by the pillion passenger.

The bikers grabbed the man's black Samsonite briefcase and sped off. He suffered minor injuries. The briefcase contained papers, a yellow cloth bag of cash, and a Nokia mobile phone.
