MIDDLESBROUGH A66 Maintenance Works Lane closures will take place each Sunday at various locations on the A66 for detailed inspection works, gully cleaning, and repairs to street lighting etc.

Linthorpe Road (Borough Rd - Park Road South) The works will reduce Linthorpe Road to a single carriageway by removing the bus lanes and converting them into parking bays and several new pedestrian crossing points. The works will continue until the end of March. Lane closures and temporary traffic control will be required during off-peak hours.

Linthorpe Village (Local Safety Scheme - Phase 2) The works will affect the length of Linthorpe Road between Benson Street and St Barnabas Road, include re-paving, widening of footways, carriageway resurfacing, the provision of new parking bays and a new puffin crossing, until March. Lane closures and temporary traffic signals will be in operation during off-peak periods.

Newham Way/B1365 roundabout Work has started to provide additional traffic lanes on the southbound and westbound approaches to the roundabout until the end of March. Lane closures and temporary traffic signals will be in operation during off-peak periods.

REDCAR AND CLEVELAND Grant Street/North Terrace, Redcar A temporary road closure is in place until the end of the year for building works. A1085 Trunk Road, South Bank A contraflow is still in operation to install sewers and widen the road for the new Tesco development.

Esplanade, Redcar Two-way traffic signals and lane restrictions will be in operation until 2013 to facilitate the construction of the sea defences. Also a temporary road closure will be in place on Graffenberg Street for two months.

Fountain Street, Guisborough A temporary road closure will be in operation until the end of February to replace existing drainage system.

STOCKTON Seamer Road, Hilton Due to a new wind farm site, temporary traffic signals are required on Seamer Road, Hilton, until July, off-peak only. A66 - Little Burdon to Long Newton Resurfacing works on A66 will take place between Little Burdon Roundabout until the start of March. As a result, night-time lane and full carriageway closures (signed diversion routes will be in place) and 24hr contraflows with a 50mph speed restriction, east and westbound, will be required at various stages during the works.

Thorntree Road, Thornaby Amendment works to the existing traffic calming scheme on Thorntree Road, Thornaby, are taking place until the end of February. The works will involve the possible use of two-way lights during certain phases of construction.
