Road death boy named.
A teenager killed as he crossed the road has been named as Michael Craig Sorlie.The 13-year-old, of Ebchester Street, South Shields, was killed crossing the A19 near the Lindisfarne sliproad at 5.35pm last Thursday. Any witnesses should ring police on (0191) 214-6555.

A CRACKDOWN on taxi fare dodgers is being launched by Berwick Borough Council.
The clampdown comes after a series of complaints from taxi drivers about fare evaders.
