Here's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Eugene-River Road area
Amazon Parkway from 19th Avenue to 24th Place: Sidewalk installation; watch for trucks entering roadway and bicycle lane impacts.
Amazon Parkway from 29th Avenue to Hilyard Street: Grinding and paving work begins; expect flaggers and delays during daytime construction hours.
Echo Hollow Road from Royal Avenue to Dove Lane: Paving completed; occasional lane closures for striping and other cleanup work.
Goodpasture Island Road (Valley River Drive to 2,000 feet north): Wastewater repair work during daytime hours; watch for southbound lane closures and flaggers.
Lone Oaks Drive east of Division Avenue: Lane closures and flaggers for road construction through mid-September; expect minor delays.
Monroe Street between Fourth and Second avenues: Closed during daytime construction hours for several days beginning Monday as Union Pacific Railroad upgrades track crossing.
Valley River Drive in vicinity of Valley River Way and along west side of Delta Highway: Wastewater repair work is being done at night; watch for lane detours and flaggers.
18th Avenue from Bailey Hill Road to Josh Street: Top-lift paving work Monday and Tuesday; expect lane closures and delays.
19th, 22nd and 23rd avenues between University and Patterson streets streets: Wastewater repairs; watch for lane closures and detours.
29th Avenue from Lorane Highway to Willamette Street: Grinding and paving work begins; expect flaggers and delays.
30th Avenue from Hilyard to Agate streets: Grinding and paving work; expect flaggers and delays.
Cottage Grove area
Adams Road: Driveway paving and shoulder rock installation, followed by guardrail installation; expect flaggers and 15-minute delays.
Gowdyville Road: Driveway paving and shoulder rock work, followed by guardrail installation. Watch for flaggers and pilot car, with 15 minute delays.
London Road: Driveway paving and shoulder rock work, followed by guardrail installation. Traffic controlled by flaggers and pilot car. Expect 15-minute delays.
Highway 58: Project continues from Dexter Park to West Salt Creek Tunnel, with addition of passing lanes, highway widening and paving and construction of three new fish culverts and other structures, as well as new signs and guardrails. Watch for flaggers and pilot cars and expect 20-minute delays, day and night
McKenzie Highway 126: Guardrail and bridge work from mileposts 38 to 55 and Clear Lake-Belknap Springs Highway. Watch for signs, flaggers and workers along the roadside; expect minor delays.
Territorial Highway: Construction continues on addition of left-turn lane, curbs, sidewalks and pedestrian island at school crossing at Warthen Road, about milepost 18.5. Daytime delays up to 20 minutes; watch for flaggers.
Highway 99: Guardrail work from Highway 58 to Ricket Road and on Cloverdale Road from Interstate 5 to Rodgers Road; expect one-lane traffic at several locations for guardrail work.
Junction City area
Highway 99: Final "cleanup" work on major reconstruction of Highway 99 from Flat Creek Bridge to West Third Avenue; expect minor delays.
Nelson Mountain Road: Work continues on reroofing of the Lake Creek Covered Bridge, with the road closed on both sides of the bridge from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on work days.
Marcola Road: Installation of sidewalks and drainage structures will continue through the week from Parsons Creek to Wendling roads, with final roadway paving scheduled for late in the week. Flaggers and a pilot car will control traffic; expect daytime delays up to 20 minutes.
Highway 58: Project continues to add passing lanes, widen highway, build new fish culverts and install new signs and guardrails from Kitson Ridge to West Salt Creek Tunnel, mileposts 39 to 56. Flaggers and pilot cars control traffic; expect delays up to 20 minutes. Use alternate routes if possible.
Santa Clara area
Irvington Drive: Installation of storm sewers and modification to sewer system continues between River Road and Bryon Street, with roadbed excavation between Verbena and Revell streets. The roadway will be closed during work hours; designated detour routes, with flaggers controlling traffic and 20-minute delays through the project area. Seek alternative routes.
River Road: Paving should be completed this week between Carthage Avenue and Beacon Drive, along with miscellaneous site work and streetlight installation. Expect up to 15-minute delays and flaggers.
Seavey Loop area
Seavey Way: Construction continues on the new Frank Parrish Bridge over the Coast Fork of the Willamette River at the entrance to the Howard Buford Recreation Area, with traffic diverted to a detour bridge. Expect minimal delays.
South Lane County area
Interstate 5: Construction continues on the Coast Fork Willamette River Bridge, about milepost 180. Watch for slow trucks and other construction vehicles entering or leaving freeway.
McKenzie Highway 126: Work continues on bridges across the Willamette River at Franklin Boulevard; no delays expected.
