Rizzo Associates changes name.
"We decided that the time was fight for the change," said Ed Gardiner, regional manager of the Manchester office. "Being part of Tetra Tech provided the opportunity to expand to the far reaches of the globe. Today, one-third of our business is devoted to work overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, an accomplishment that we attribute to being part of Tetra Tech, a $1.4 billion consulting firm."
Tetra Tech is the eighth-largest design firm in the United States.
Besides expanding overseas, Tetra Tech Rizzo's Manchester office also has been providing engineering services for the Lowe's Companies' Northeast expansion, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation's new Traffic Management Center, and the city of Nashua.
The Manchester staff of Tetra Tech Rizzo gathered recently at the announcement that the firm has changed its name from Rizzo Associates.
