Alabama Dance Theatre opens their season this month with the Alabama River as their backdrop. Professional guest artists from the Southeast join ADT dancers to present free outdoor performances in "Stars on the Riverfront" July 29-30 in downtown Montgomery. Coached by Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre artistic director Terrence S. Orr and PBT ballet mistress Marianna Tcherkassky, the dancers will perform both classical and contemporary pieces, including new works by ADT ballet master Foye Dubose, and resident choreographers Sara Sanford and Janie Alford.
