Rival's new vice president of sales made his first formal appearance during last week's hardware show.
It was from Richard Bertelli's firs experience in the land of power tools that was McCormick Place. Prior to joining Rival, a vendor of fans, kitchen electrics, massagers and sump pumps, Bertelli spent close to four years with Thermos. In addition, he spent 21 years at Eveready Battery.
The position is a new one for Rival, which earlier this year realigned its sales force. Bill Endres, the company's executive vice president of sales and marketing, already had a right-hand marketing man in vice president of marketing Phil Gyori. The appointment of Bertelli gives Endres a boost on the sales side.
Bertelli called Rival a company "with a good track record and good growth potential."
