Heritage Management Co. recently embarked on a significant program to improve and modernize the eight elevators at 550 Broad Street, a 282,000-square loot signature office tower in Newark.

Heritage Management has signed a contract with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corp. to modernize all of the elevators using MCE controllers at 550 Broad Street. This capital improvement, which is expected to be completed in July of this year, will be the final piece to the multi-million dollar repositioning program that has taken place at 550 Broad Street over the past three years.

"550 Broad Street has experienced tremendous success in the marketplace and the elevator improvement will significantly manage traffic flow and accommodate the increased tenancy within the building," said Steven Greenberg, principal of Heritage Management Company. [sup.3]550 Broad Street has become of the most successful examples of urban revitalization in New Jersey."

Located in the heart of downtown Newark, 550 Broad Street is one of the city's signature office towers. The 282,000 s/f signature office building underwent a major renovation program, which included a new marble lobby, upgraded common areas, building exterior and internal building systems.
