Rising music stars help raise cash through charity album.
A RADIO show has released a 40-track download-only charity album featuring some of the rising stars of Welsh music. The Showcase Wales Sessions has been put together by Showcase Wales, the-long-running radio show broadcast on Rhondda Cynon Taff community station GTFM, to raise funds for the station and Cancer Research UK.
Showcase Wales has been broadcast on GTFM for more than 10 years.
The tracks featured on the charity album, which is available now through Bandcamp, are taken from the show's weekly sessions featuring artistes performing stripped-back versions of their songs.
Lee Wood, who co-presents the show with Adam Perkins, said: "I decided I wanted to do something to protect the show I love and help raise funds for those suffering with this awful disease. After listening to the sessions, I decided to use these and put an album together. The Showcase Wales sessions album was born."
