Riphah secures first position for quality enhancement programmes.

ISLAMABAD -- Riphah International University has secured first position among "W" category private sector universities of the country for its quality enhancement programmes. The Higher Education Commission (HEC), after evaluating the performance of the Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) of the universities through a score card has placed Riphah International University on the top of the merit list prepared in this regard.

A function was held at the main campus of Riphah International University in I-14 sector in Islamabad on Tuesday to celebrate the achievement. Pro Chancellor, Riphah International University, Hassan Muhammad Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Pro Chancellor, Hassan Muhammad Khan and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, in their addresses appreciated the efforts of Quality Enhancement Cell and program team members representing faculties which resulted in this success.

Cash awards and certificates were distributed by the chief guest to the QEC Staff and its programme team members. Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Engr. Salim Ahmed Khan thanked the Pro-Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, all the Deans and Directors, Program Team Members and the members of Administration for their very intimate support throughout the year.

Higher Education Commission (HEC) started installing Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) since 2005, in phases. In 2009, HEC, focused on the Private Sector Universities and started funding, installation and positioning of Quality Enhancement Cells.
