Rightscorp to expand its services into book publishing industry.


Rightscorp (OTCBB:RIHT), a provider of monetisation services for artists and holders of copyrighted Intellectual Property (IP), announced on Thursday plans to expand its copyright monetisation services into the consumer book publishing market.

According to Rightscorp, it will soon represent authors and publishing companies by monitoring and monetising of their digital assets against copyright infringement and illegal downloading.

Reportedly, the company recently announced a deal to represent Mark Sisson, author of the bestselling book 'The Primal Blueprint', marking its entry into the book publishing industry. The company is now expanding its focus to include monetisation and protection of online books and is already in discussions with other authors and industry trade organisations about how it can help them

Currently, Rightscorp represents over 1,000,000 copyrights with over 40,000 copyrights in its system. Also, it has already received settlements from subscribers of over 50 ISPs and closed over 60,000 cases of copyright infringement to date.
