Riffa end campaign with goalless draw.

RIFFA ended their campaign in the Al Ain International Football Championship with a goalless draw against Al Suwaiq of Oman late on Friday night.

The tie capped the Bahraini representatives' disappointing week in the competition, where they registered just one point from three matches. They lost their other two games to host side Al Ain and Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab.

Meanwhile, Shabab were crowned champions after drawing 1-1 with Al Ain ion their tournament-concluding clash.

The Saudis claimed first place overall with seven points from three games. Al Ain were the runners-up, while Suwaiq finished third and Riffa last.

Riffa were playing in the tournament for the third successive year. It is an annual pre-season warm-up event involving teams in the region.

Matches this year were played at Al Ain's Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE.
