Riding the wave.

Considering he got re-upped for another term as state Dem chair back in 2011, after an election debacle that left the party essentially holding its caucus in a closet at the State House, why wouldn't Ray Buckley seek another term after a 2014 election that wasn't much better?

Although, he'll gladly tell you (or at least the folks who elect the chair) that '14 wasn't thaaat bad. After all, the GOP only regained control of the House of Representatives and the Executive Council, retained their Senate majority and recaptured the 1 st C.D. seat.

His spin?

"Clearly, we learned from our past mid-term defeats and are getting better at winning in Republican wave years."

Got that?
