Rider in no-win situation; LETTERS.
SURELY it is time to pension off Big Mac after his rantings regarding Sacrilege. As Lee Mottershead said, this sort of thing goes on every day on the gallops. It is not the correct thing to do, but it does go on.
The jockey was in a no-win situation, and well done to the owner for appearing on television and stating that Big Mac brings nothing to the table, whereas people like him do.
The whip is part and parcel of the game. Mac should get out of the dark ages.
Whips nowadays are designed more for control, not to harm a horse.
