Ricoh TechnoSystems Relies on CompTIA Certifications to Enhance Service Team Skills.

TOKYO -- Ricoh TechnoSystems Co. Ltd., a member of the Ricoh Group of companies, is relying on professional certifications from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) to enhance the information technology (IT) and customer service skills of its rapid-response service teams across Japan, CompTIA announced today.

Ricoh TechnoSystems is training its customer engineers, who deliver high-quality customer-focused IT and office automation (OA) services, in CompTIA A+(R), CompTIA CDIA+(TM) and CompTIA Network+(R) certifications. The training effort is part of Ricoh Group's ongoing integration of its 32 domestic maintenance service groups and 470 service locations across Japan under the Ricoh TechnoSystems brand name.

"With its successful 'one-stop' office solutions model for IT and OA services delivery, Ricoh TechnoSystems is at the forefront of the service market in Japan," said John Venator, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA. "IT services represent a strong, vibrant and growing business for the entire Ricoh Group. "CompTIA certifications validate practical abilities across multiple IT products and solutions," said Kazuo Kaneko, general manager, IT service education, Ricoh TechnoSystems. "By equipping our service engineers with these technical and business skills, they can more accurately and efficiently address customer OA and multi-vendor IT issues, which leads to greater customer satisfaction and service efficiency "
