Rick D. Chandler, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Buildings.
Rick D. Chandler, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Buildings, addressed the Brooklyn business community at the Brooklyn Newsmakers speaker series on January 10. The Commissioner touched on a variety of topics, including DOB NOW, which aims to move many DOB services online, as well as the NYC Construction Dashboard, a new aggregation of a wide variety of data collected by DOB. Brooklyn Newsmakers is sponsored by Investors Bank, and is produced in partnership with NYU Tandon and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership. "Our agency is committed to delivering on our twin mandates of promoting construction safety and responsible development. What's more, we're modernizing DOB to ensure that New Yorkers can do 100 percent of their business with us online, know where their projects stand without having to rely on intermediaries, and get consistent answers from us no matter who reviews their projects," said Commissioner Chandler.
