Ricin: Five are released.

POLICE released five suspects yesterday and played down links between arrests in Bournemouth and an alleged plot to use the deadly poison ricin in a terror attack.

Metropolitan Police officers working with Dorset Police raided two addresses in Bournemouth on Sunday and arrested five men and a woman in connection with an alleged deception, immigration matters and a hoax device placed in London. The five men have been bailed and the woman is still being detained for immigration matters.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: ``It was just speculation that the arrests were in connection with the alleged ricin plot.'' No chemical materials were discovered in the Dorset raids, say police. All six suspects have been de-arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000.
