Richardson honored by Bar's Tax Section.

David M. Richardson has been honored as the Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney for 1999-2000 and will received the award at the Tax Section's 22nd Annual Meeting at the South Seas Plantation.

Richardson is a law professor at the University of Florida.

Prior to his teaching career, he was a partner at Richardson & Jackel. Richardson has published many articles on diverse tax issues. He prepared "Taxation by Florida of Transfers of Wealth Upon Death--The Present Law and Available, Options" for, the Governor's Tax Reform Commission; along with five committee members, he co-authored, "One State's Reaction to Reaganomics: The 1982 Amendments to The Florida Income Tax Code;" and most recently he wrote "Cases and Materials on Federal Tax Procedure" for UF's graduate tax program.

Richardson was a member of the Tax Section's Executive Council from 1971- 1990, chair of the section 1981-1982 and a member and first chair of the Tax Certification Committee, 1982-1984.

He is a member of the ABA Tax Section and the American College of Tax Counsel. He has been a visiting professor at Beijing University and Leiden University, Holland.
