Richard X: I will not save Posh.
Richard, who recently provided No. 1 singles for The Sugababes with Freak Like Me and Liberty X's Being Nobody, has become one of Britain's top production talents.
But he denied rumours he had agreed to relaunch Posh's career.
Richard said: "Some people think I'm a life-giver who can resurrect people's pop careers if they drink from my cup.
"I'm not saying it can't happen for Victoria. She's on the same label as me and the label would be mad if I said anything negative.
"But I'm not going to record with her. What I will say is that there's nothing to say she can't come up with the hardest-hitting track in the world to blow everyone away."
Richard helped Popstars: The Rivals finalist Javine Hylton with her debut single.
Javine recently signed a pounds 1million record deal with Innocent Records - home to Blue and Atomic Kitten - after the TV talent show was caught up in a vote- rigging scandal.
Her single will feature on Richard's upcoming debut album.
Richard told 192: "I can't tell you the name of the song because we are still waiting for clearance, but it's similar to what I did with Liberty X.
"People will be surprised when they hear it. Javine is a professional with a great voice. She has the right attitude and is a lovely person."
Richard has also recorded with Jarvis Cocker, ex-Soul II Soul singer Karen Wheeler and P Diddy.
He said: "The one person who hasn't knocked on my door, yet, is Madonna."
