Richard Squire.

ONE OF the UK's leading clean label ingredients specialists Ulrick & Short 01977 620011 has announced a further boost to support its dynamic team and appointed a chef.

Richard Squire has secured the post of development consultant chef, which adds a new innovative dimension to the company's workforce and is part of Ulrick & Short's ongoing development and expansion programme.

Mr Squire will play a key role in creating food samples, which will provide potential customers with an all encompassing visual taste and texture experience. This will be achieved during cookery demonstrations during which Ulrick & Short's clean label ingredients will be used within the food application.

His input is designed to help inspire food developers and deliver ideas which will create and convert culinary concepts into superior end products to meet the latest consumer demands.

Another aspect of Mr Squire's role will be to advise Ulrick & Short on how to incorporate the correct ingredients into products whilst maximising flavours within development work. The initiative will enable food developers to quickly incorporate clean label ingredients into new culinary experiences and help them remain competitive.

With over 25 years experience working as a chef in hotels, restaurants and private hospitals, Mr Squire has vast culinary knowledge and is extremely innovative and skilled at creating and developing new recipes.

Based near Hull, Mr Squire will be working closely with Ulrick & Short's food technologists and he is delighted with the new challenges that his role offers and is already aware of the nutritional benefits that clean label ingredients can offer.
