Richard Cotovsky.
Chicago's rowdy (and anonymously chosen) independent theatre awards, the Orgies, announced 2010 winners and honored them in March with a shindig at local club The Spot. Orgie winners included were Richard Cotovsky for directing Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found; playwright Jeffrey Dorchen for Strauss at Midnight at Theatre Oobleck; the production of !Tsarovia! at Citizens Relief; the performances of Sara Gorsky in Breed with Me at the Mammals, Ed Jones in Poseidon! An Upside-Down Musical by Hell in a Handbag Productions, and Keith Kupferer in The Unseen, produced by A Red Orchid; the creation/curation of Robbie Q. Telfer and Shanney J. Maney's The Encyclopedia Show; and the overall awesomeness of writer/director/organizer Diana Slickman. Special acknowledgments also went to the Goodman Theater, the Neo-Futurists and the Magpies Project.
