Rich caught napping by Green at Lakeside; UPDATE.

RICHIE GEORGE will be changing nappies rather than throwing darts after crashing out of the BDO world darts championships.

The 24-year-old, son of TV pundit Bobby, became a father last July when his fiancee gave birth to a boy.

But the sleepless nights will continue after Robbie Green saw off the 2013 semi-finalist 3-0 in the first round at the Lakeside.

George said: "I wet the baby's head about six months ago. But after that defeat, I might go and wet my own head."

SPEEDWAY: Australian racer Justin Sedgmen plans to put pressure on Edinburgh Monarch's top riders when he returns to UK speedway this year. He said: "There will be a few of us fighting for the numbers one and five positions." CYCLING: Glasgow teenager Katie Archibald outpaced her GB teammates to win the Elimination Race at the Revolution Series in Manchester. SQUASH: Scottish No.2 Greg Lobban lost the final of the Open du Gard in Nimes to No.3 seed Mahesh Mangaonkar of India.

CROSS-COUNTRY: Scots Euan Gillham and Gillian Black won their respective Under-17 races at the Antrim International.
