Rich Products, AmeriCold Logistics announce joint partnership to build new Murfreesboro, TN distribution center.

Rich Products Corp. and AmeriCold Logistics, LLC have announced a joint agreement to build a state-of-the-art frozen Distribution Center adjacent to Rich's Bakery Products manufacturing plant in Murfreesboro, TN.

Under the terms of the agreement, AmeriCold will build a 150,000 square foot, 5 million cu. ft., distribution center. Rich's will own the facility and AmeriCold will provide systems and management.

Approximately 75 jobs are expected to be created.

Complete financial terms were not disclosed, but both Rich's and AmeriCold will make significant capital investments.

In addition, the Rutherford County Industrial Agency is participating in the project by offering a property tax abatement program to Rich's. A low interest loan package is also being made available for the project by the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Ground clearing is expected to begin immediately with construction targeted for completion by June 2002.

State-Of-Art Distribution Center Technology; Murfreesboro, Rutherford Officials Instrumental

In addition to featuring 22 docks and enabling frozen storage of 20,000 pallets of product, the Rich's-AmeriCold Murfreesboro Distribution Center will feature state-of-the-art warehouse management system technologies including computerized inventory management, Internet access to account information, computerized productivity measurement, computer directed work force capability, and bar code scanning.

"With this center, we will be able to manufacture, warehouse and ship literally on one cohesive manufacturing campus," said Al Zimmerman, General Manager, Rich's Murfreesboro Manufacturing Plant.
