Riachi: Daily electoral coordination between Adwan, Bassil.

Download Riachi: Daily electoral coordination between Adwan, Bassil NNA - Minister of Information, Melhem Riachi, said on Saturday that daily coordination is ongoing between MP George Adwan and Minister Gibran Bassil regarding the electoral law. "There is a full and daily coordination between MP George Adwan and Minister Gibran Bassil on the subject of the vote law," Minister Riachi stated during an interview to "Radio Free Lebanon" Station. The Minister considered that the Lebanese Forces endorsed any vote law that would guarantee a fair representation to all Lebanese, noting that "parliamentary elections will be held in September or in October based on proportionality with 10 or more constituencies." Commenting on Mearab agreement, Riachi reiterated that the "value of reconciliation [between Lebanese Forces (LF) and the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM)] is greater and deeper than the political alliance," adding that said reconcilement ensured a true balance of power in the country. He considered that tensions with allies were "normal" because every party has a different approach in dealing with dispute files. He described the Future Movement and Lebanese Forces' relations as "strategic", noting that political differences between both parties will not affect said relations. "Stability is guaranteed in Lebanon due to an internal and external will," the Minister concluded. ================ R.K.
